HISTORY OF ROUTE TRAVELED ON JUNE 27
  • August 8th, JMcD: Spent night west of Greater Cherry Portage. (Ref. 11, p 99)
  • Two large grassy areas on the north side of Moose Lake are where the Hudson Bay Company and American Fur Company had posts in the early 1800's. They make reasonably good campsites. (Ref. 2, p 12)
