DAY OFF -- HELENA
June 7th (Day 5)
Drove to Helena where the crew split up to do different things Showers, laundry, shopping, sight-seeing, geocaching, train tour Reconnected at the library and the group went to dinner Caravaned back to Log Gulch Campground
There is a geocache in there somewhere, we just couldn't find it.	It was off to Helena today...lots of things to do. For our group, the first order of business was a SHOWER! Found a small truck stop on the outskirts of Helena. Only one shower, but we had breakfast, coffee, ice cream and good conversation at the cafe next door. It wasn't long before we were all presentable again (well sort of). Next it was off to find a laundromat. Again, down time to explore, read, geocache, you name it. John found a place called Dive Bakery Cafe where we had lunch (you would think we didn't have enough to eat on the trip). The Lewis and Clark Libary was the designated late afternoon gathering place. Some got there earlier to take advantage of the Internet connections. We checked out a couple nearby dinners, but they had long lines so we headed to historic Helena and another recommended restaurant, Bert & Ernies. With sidewalk seating, had a fine pizza dinner, several pitchers of beer and lots of conversation and comradery. It was then back to camp at Log Gulch Campsite.	The place to reconnect with the world (INTERNET) and gather the troops to, you guessed it, go to dinner

Back at camp, it was time to check if we had secured camp sufficiently to prevent the afternoon storm from blowing things away and/or soaking gear. All in all (with the assistance of Deb who stayed in camp) things were in pretty decent shape. After a little bit of reorganization, we relaxed and enjoyed the evening and a magnificant sunset. A mighty fine day, indeed!
