We awoke to low-hanging clouds and the threat of rain. The consenus was that in absence lightining, a little rain never hurt anyone so paddling was a "go". After breakfast and camp chores were completed, it was off to Hordegg to begin canoeing where we took out yesterday. It was another great day on the river with only a few sprinkles of rain. The river was fast and offered ample opportunities to surf at the rapids. We averaged 11.4 km/hr (7.1 mph) for the 30 km (18.6 mi) that we canoed. Stops were made for lunch and to stretch our legs. |
