DOCUMENTING THE HISTORY OF BOY SCOUTING IN LOS ALAMOS

In the late 1990’s, we undertook a civic project to document the history of Boy Scouting in Los Alamos County. Its goal was to trace and document the history of Los Alamos Boy Scouting from its inception as part of the Los Alamos Boys Ranch School to the present. While we were all active Scouters, the project was not associated with the Boy Scouts of America.

The project became dormant in 2003. However, with the upcoming 100th anniversary of Boy Scouting in Los Alamos County, it is anticipated that the project will become active again.

The project included establishing a website to share information gather. The website went down several years ago and was reposted here in November 2013. It should be noted that all the data is vintage 2003 and earlier.

If you have information you would like included in the project, please send it to the e-mail address below.
