Brief
History
Troop 20 was originally chartered to the Los Alamos Veterans Club in October 1947. W. L. McCulloch was the first Scoutmaster. Sponsorship of the troop was transferred to the United Church of Los Alamos in 1950. The United Church sponsored the troop until it disbanded in March 1974.

Brief
History
Troop 22 was an integral part of the program at the Los Alamos Boys Ranch School from 1918; A. J. Connell was Scoutmaster. When the Manhattan Project took over the school, the troop continued to operate and has been sponsored by the Los Alamos PTA in the '40s, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (1950 thru 1969) and the Knights of Columbus from 1970 to the present.

Brief
History
Troop 27 was first chargered by the First Baptist Church in September 1949 and was sponsored by them until the troop disbanded in 1966. No Scoutmaster was listed on the original application, but Loring Cox was listed as the Assistant Scoutmaster.

TROOP 71

Have copies of all recharter records from 1972 thru 2000 except 1982. Have some troop calendars from the late 1990's.
Brief
History
Troop 71 was founded in 1972 and chartered by the Imacculate Heart of Mary Church which has been the only sponsor of the troop in Los Alamos. John Kodis was the first Scoutmaster. The troop met at the Parrish Hall for the first two years and then moved to St. Joseph's Hall in White Rock.

Note: Prior to Troop 71 forming in Los Alamos, troop number 71 had been issued to units in Springer (1950's), Albuquerque (early 60's) and Las Vegas, NM (late 60's).

History
Troop 122 was originally chartered in the first part of 1953 by the Los Alamos Methodist Church. Gordon Perrine was the first Scoutmaster. The Methodist Church is the only sponsor the troop has had.

History
Troop 129 was originally charter to the Knights of Columbus in July 1954 with Epimenio Pacheco the Scoutmaster. It was sponsored by the them until 1971 when the troop moved to White Rock and became sponsored by the Chimsa Elementary School PTO. In 1979, sponsorship of the troop was transferred to the White Rock Methodist Church who is the current sponsor.

History
The number 193 was originally assigned to a troop in Reserve, NM in the 1940's. It was first chartered in Los Alamos in the summer of 1954 to the Grace Luthern Chruch which is now the Bethlehem Evangelical Luthern Church. Richard Johnston was the first Scoutmaster. The troop operated until 1984 when it became inactive. It was rechartered in 1995 with Gary Robinson as Scoutmaster.

Brief
History
Troop 222 was originally charter in October 1951 to the LDS Church in Los Alamos. Originally they met at Mountain School, but moved to the LDS Chruch sometime before 1955. Mark Ludlow was the first Scoutmaster. The troop has been continuously charter by the LDS Church.

Note: Prior to the chartering of Troop 222 in Los Alamos, 222 had been assigned to a unit in Farmington, NM.

TROOP 229

History
Troop 229 was orignially chartered to the Izaak Walton League in the fall of 1956 with Wilbur Jackson as the Scoutmaster. They met at Aspen School for four years and then moved to Mouintain School. In 1969, The Los Alamos Sportsman's Club became the sponsor and were the sponsor until the Troop disbanded in 1973. During those four years the troop met at the Sportsman's Club, Pajarito School, Aspen School and Mountain School.

Brief
History
Number 326 was first issued to The Rincon Rifle and Pistol Club in Blanco, NM in August 1959. The troop dropped it's charter in Nov. 1960. Number 326 was then issued to the current Los Alamos troop on December 20, 1964 and has been in operation since that time. Al Dross was the first Scoutmaster. The troop has been sponsored by the Pinon Elementary School PTO since 1964.

TROOP 329

Brief
History
Troop 329 was first chartered in the spring of 1964 under the sponsorship of the Barranca Mesa Parent Teachers Organization; Alfred Furnish was the first Scoutmaster. In 1985, Elks Lodge 2083 became the sponsor and was their sponsor until the troop went out of exsistance in 1990. The troop met at Barranca Mesa School for the entire time it exsisted.

Note of interest: In 1995, troop number 329 was reissued by the Great Scoutwest Council to Lake Valley School in Crownpoint, NM.
