MISSISSIPPI RIVERS --- 2016

March: As part of our spring canoeing trip ot the south lead by Bob and Carol, we canoed three days in the Hattisburg area. We camped at Paul B. Johnson State Park south of Hattisburg. There was record flooding in the area a week before we arrived so the rivers were high and our choices were limited. Fortunately, the water receded rapidly and we had three great days of canoeing. Tha aftermath of the flooding is shown in some of the pictures below. And of course there was some great geocaching including a geocache that took us to the grave site of Hall of Fame baseball player Dizzy Dean.
