MERIT BADGE POW WOWS

In 1990, Marion Pack organized the first Merit Badge Pow Wow for the Los Alamos District. The Pow Wow is a one-day event where Scouts from the district can work on merit badges. The Distict provides merit badge counselors who work with the Scouts during the day and after the event to complete the requirements. Most Eagle-required badges are offered each year as well as elective badges. The Pow Wow has two half-day classes, thus allowing Scouts to work on two badges. Typical attendance is about 100 Scouts.
