[District Patch Circa 1955]

1970s?
This district patch was used in the mid 1950s into the 1960s. We have seen the patch in a collection from the 1950s. The second version, which is larger, is from a collection of patches primarily from the 1970s. However, the date when it was issued is not known.

[District Patch 1982-83]
District patch issued for the 1982-1983 Scouting year. It was the first of what was intended to be a series of patches that would be used with segments for various events. The patch depicts Fuller Lodge, the home of the Los Alamos Boys Ranch School, and the birth place of Scouting in Los Alamos. The patch was designed by Bill Erickson and Doug O'Dell.

[District Patch 1983-84]
The second District patch issued in the series. The numbers represent unit numbers active in Los Alamos District at that time. Some numbers multiple units (packs, troops and/or posts). The patch was designed by Bill Erickson and Doug O'Dell.

The segments were designed by Bill Erickson and Doug O'Dell. (The segments were purchased as rolls and then cut into individual segments by hand.)
[District Patch 1985]
The 1985 District Patch was designed by ? Stovall. A contest was held to design the patch in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of Boy Scouting in the United States. The winner was selected at the Scout Show.
Size: 115 mm x 115 mm (diagonal).
[District Patch 1986]
The 1985 District Patch basic designed was used for the next district patch with the only changes being colors and lettering. It was issued about 1986-87.

[District Patch 198?]
This district patch was issued in the late 1980's. It was designed by Doug O'Dell.
Size: 119 mm x 119 mm (diagonal).
[District Patch 1993]
Los Alamos Distict patch issued to commerate the 75th anniversary of Scouting in Los Alamos. A contest was held to select the patch design. The patch was entered by an ananomous designer and selected by vote of the District Roundtable. The design contains elements of the Los Alamos Boys Ranch School insignia (trees, rainbow and clouds). Bars were to have been issued for four events -- the Scout Show, County Fair Parade, First Aid Contest and Merit Badge Pow Wow with the colors of the bars being those present in the rainbow. The First Aid bar was never issued.
