FAMILY - OUR WEDDING - THANKSGIVING September 28 - November 27
October 9     Wood Canyon Lake, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, AZ...Camped at the lake spending a couple days with Todd and family.
October 10     Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest, AZ...Canoed and explored the area in the morning and then said our good-byes. Todd, Lisa, Erica and Zoe headed home and we moved to a campsite nearer the main road. Elk visited that evening.
October 11     Camped at a National Forest campground on the way to Bryce Canyon, Utah.
October 12     Camped at National Forest campground on road to Coral Reef National Park, UT.
October 14         Camped at Beaverhead National Forest campground near Dillon, MT. Ripley enjoyed checking out the bear box at the campsite. The next day we took the back roads north and encountered ranchers moving a hear of cattle using dogs to help keep them together. Rip was definitely interested.
October 17-18     We camped at the Golden campground along the Kicking Horse River for two nights. After arriving in Golden, we got our marrage license and headed to the Blaebury River to look for the place we wanted to get married. Four days later, our truck-camper served as the desk to sigh our wedding papers.
October 22     Kamloops campground, Kamloops, BC...Drove from Revelstoke to Kamloops taking in the beauty and geocaching along the way.
October 23     We camped at a small park on the Coquihalla River in Hope, BC.
October 26     Willingdon Beach Campsite, Powell River, BC...After spending three days visiting with fellow members of our 2011 David Thompson Brigade NALS team, we headed to Powell River to catch the next morning's ferry to Comox.
October 29     Elk Creek Recreation Site, Sayward, BC...Spent the last couple days visting with Paddle Canada 2 teammates from the 2028 David Thompson Brigade. Today we headed north exploring Vancouver Island.
October 30     Muchalate Lake Recreation Site, Gold River, BC...Beautiful drive to campground--spectacular views.
November 1   Salt Spring Island campground, BC...Took morning ferry from Crofton to Salt Spring Island, visited and hiked in Provincial Parks.
November 2 - 5           Galiano Island, BC...We did not sleep in the camper but stayed at the cabin of Ted and Louise Bently, friends from the 2008 and 2011 David Thompson Brigades. Our Honeymoon.
November 7     Near Elwha River, Elwha, WA...Took ferry from Victoria, BC to Port Angles, WA. Stopped for groceries before finding campsite.
November 8     Camped near Aberdeen, WA. A day of enjoying the country and getting off the road for geocaches.
November 9       Camped south of Astoria, OR...Stopped along the Willapa river for a series of geocaches/steel sculptures. Then it was revisiting sites in Astoria where the 2011 David Thompson Brigade ended. And then walked (and drove on) some beaches and found a campsite.
November 10     William M. Tugman State Park north of Coos Bay, OR...More scenery and geocaching. Unknown to us, Steve and Wendy from our 2008 David Thompson Brigade team drove past our campsite the following morning before we left.
November 11     Burnt Ranch Campground, Burnt Ranch, CA...Mostly driving today with a few geocaching stops to stretch our legs.
November 12     Sequoia National Park, Three Rivers, CA...Camped at Potwisha Campground. Picked up Mom the next day.
