Start of Brigade: Invermere, BC to Astoria, OR
The Brigade followed the route taken by David Thompson in 1811. It ended at Fort Astoria 200 years to the day that David Thompson landed.
David Thompson's wife was Charlotte Small. A sixth generation descendent of David and Charlotte participated in the Brigade.

Canal Flats. Pictures suggest we drove back to Canal Flats and camped there on the 3rd. Need to check if true.

June 8: Canoed from Rexford to Libby. Brigade "portaged" to and camped at Thompson Falls, MT. Meet and Greet held on the 9th.

Veterans Memorial Field, Clark Fork, ID

(Brigade scheduled to camp at Dover, ID) Extensive rain while canoeing on the large Lake Pend Oreille from Clark Fork forced the Brigade to stop at Sandpoint instead of its planned stop Dover. Many paddlers got motel rooms. Our camper was parked in a parking lot in the vacinity of the takeout point and we PROBABLY slept that night in it.
