PECOS WILDERNESS SEGMENT

Greater than 40 miles

Description The PECOS WILDERNESS segment is a "wild card" segment for those who wish to plan their own itinerary. To earn this segment, you must hike 40 miles or more in one trip in the Pecos Wilderness on any combination of trails. The distance should be measured from trailhead to trailhead, or start to finish, even though not all of the trip may be in the Pecos Wilderness proper.

To Earn
Segment Hike the trails as you have planned them. When ordering the segments, attach the trip itinerary left with individuals for emergency purposes to the application. It should list starting and ending points, trails hiked and proposed campsites.
